If you leave a comment on the site, we collect the data you entered in the comment form as well as your IP address and browser user-agent data for spam detection.
The anonymized string created from your email address (“hash”) can be provided to the Gravatar service to determine whether you use it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/ . Once your comment has been approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of your comment.
Mediafiles
If you are a registered user and upload photos to the site, you might want to avoid images with EXIF metadata because they may contain your GPS location. Visitors can retrieve this information by downloading the images from the site.
Cookie
If you comment on our site, you can enable cookies to save your name, email address and website. This is for your convenience so that you don’t have to fill in the data again when you comment again. These cookies are stored for one year.
If you have an account on the site and you log in, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser supports the cookie, the cookie contains no personal information and will expire when you close your browser.
When you login to your account, we also set a number of cookies with your login details and screen settings. The login cookie lasts for two days and the screen settings cookie lasts for a year. If you choose the “Remember me” option, log in data is stored for two weeks. If you exit your account, the login cookie will be deleted.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser; it contains no personal data and only the ID of the entry you edited, expires after 1 day.

How long do we keep your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are stored indefinitely. This is to detect and approve subsequent comments automatically, instead of queuing them for approval.
For users who register on our site, we store the personal information they put in their profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their profile info at any time (with the exception of their username). The web site administration can also see and change this information.
What rights do you have to your data
If you have an account on the site or if you have posted comments, you may request an export file of the personal information we have stored about you, including the information you provided. You may also request deletion of this data, this does not include data we are required to retain for administrative, legal or security purposes.
